We are American expats in the UK and marry in the United States. Which businesses are registered in both countries for a gift? We just want our American friends, so I can go online and use our gifts to be used in the UK to buy. We do not make the effort, the largest gifts in our pockets. We know that the friends of America will be paid in pounds sterling, but not sure what's nice in the store that people sign up and easy to find a great selection, too.

Register for the simple things in the shops, where you live and make sure they have a website, accessible from the United States is (some pages are often country-specific and can be accessed from outside the country)

Amazon.com has a very nice wedding registry, wish list and gift list for a profile.
They are also a very nice social networking site for you and a friend can come together very easily, even with your mobile phone or connected PDA or BlackBerry.
